Origin of RAND

RAND diamonds come from only one source-the Diamond Trading Company (DTC), the rough diamond sales arm of the world's largest diamond mining company. The DTC guarantees that its "rough material" complies with all RAND's standards. Therefore you can be assured that each RAND diamond is mined in an ecologically sound manner, comes only from a single legitimate source and is untampered with in any way, assuring its naturalness.

After being mined, the DTC sorts diamonds into specific parcels meeting RAND's quality criteria. Ten times a year, RAND's rough diamond experts purchase specifically assembled parcels from the DTC for manufacture into RAND diamonds. Although these diamonds are hand selected to meet RAND's criteria, only half of them will ever qualify to become a finished RAND diamond.
